Caribbean Wines & Spirits Revitalizes Rum with Exciting Angostura Rum Month

Caribbean Wines & Spirits (CWS), The Bahamas’ premier wines and spirits distributor is revitalizing the perception of rum with engaging rum month promotions featuring The House of Angostura.

Throughout the month of September, CWS has partnered with various liquor stores across the country to promote Angostura’s incredible line, of aged premium rums in easy to make cocktail mixes.

Flying Dutchman locations (Cable Beach and Yamacraw) and Abaco Groceries are offering customers two free cocktail mixers with a purchase of Angostura aged premium rums 1787, 1919 or 1824.

For those who prefer being wined and dined, establishments such as Viola’s Restaurant & Bar and Flamingos (Bahamian Bistro) are offering special happy hour deals featuring Angostura.
“CWS is a forward-thinking organization, so we saw an opportunity in partnership with The House of Angostura to revitalize the rum category in The Bahamas. Our rum month is one of many initiatives to attract consumers, especially younger consumers, to realize what a dynamic, versatile and high-quality product rum is. We hope our world class rum can connect to the youth’s social, emotional, functional and needs.” Waylon McHardy, General Manager of Caribbean Wines & Spirits said.

As McHardy noted, this push is to reimagine what consumers think of rum. Angostura’s award winning, uniquely blended, exquisitely smooth and delightfully aromatic rum is the perfect product to reintroduce to youthful palates.

CWS celebrated International Rum Day on August 1st and 16th at The New Village Pub with hand crafted cocktails giving consumers a taste of what to expect from the company’s rum month promotions.

Mixes such as, Citrus Fizz made with Angostura 5, Minute Maid Lemonade and Club Soda, Spiced Ginger Highball a mix of Angostura 1919 and Ginger Beer and Cuba Libre a classic made with Angostura 7, Coke and lime juice were all featured at The New Village Pub.

Throughout the month of September CWS and Angostura were featured at I.C.E Gallery’s Sip and Paint, CAB Gallery and Studio’s exhibit opening and were featured at Paradise Plates alongside Angostura’s Bitters last weekend.

Consumers savored Angostura’s richness at Paradise Plates with unique cocktails, mocktails and pastries all made from its rum and bitters. For those who didn’t attend the culinary affair, you can enjoy savings and unique cocktails at the mentioned establishments.
